Lira Town College wins big in ICT Clubs competition

Lira Town College has emerged as first runner up (2nd place) in the national ICT clubs competition, which was held on October 03, 2025 at 9th edition National Conference on Communications (NCC) at National ICT Innovation Hub in Nakawa. The national ICT club’s competition is funded by UCC, and coordinated by KAWA Uganda. At this year’s NCC, there were 8 schools invited, two schools from each of the four regions on Uganda – Northern, Western, Eastern, and Central.

However, only the four regional winners were allowed to compete and make final presentations. At the end of it all, Trinity College Nabbingo was overall winners, followed by Lira Town College (first runner up), and Jinja College was third place (2nd runners up).

Winners: Trinity College Nabbingo

Rewards: Three million shillings (UGX 3,000,000), a tablet for each participant, and teacher, and Lyca Mobile Mi-Fi.

1st Runner up: Lira Town College

Rewards: Two million shillings (UGX 2,000,000), a tablet for each participant, and teacher, and Lyca Mobile Mi-Fi.

2nd Runners up: Jinja College

Rewards: One million shillings (UGX 1,000,000), a tablet for each participant, and teacher, and Lyca Mobile Mi-Fi.
