Director of Studies

It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you to the office of the Director of Studies, the directorate in-charge of academics in Lira Town College. The department of currently being manned by three personnel:

• Mr. Epel James, Director of Studies in charge Upper School (S.5 and S.6)
• Mr. Wece George, Director of Studies in charge of middle school (S.3 and S.4)
• Ms. Akello Margaret Rosum, Director of Studies in charge Lower Classes (S.1 and S.2)

As management in an institution of learning, our major mission is to inspire and support learners to realize transformative solutions that will have lifelong positive impact. This department aims at championing the creative vision that quality in delivery and assessment is ensured.

The major focus, among other things include:

1. Maintaining a conducive teaching and learning environment.
2. Aligning teaching content with the syllabus.
3. Adapting a learner-centred methods to build competencies.
4. Building positive and professional relationships to support the learners growth.
5. Maintaining accurate records of assessment and giving feedback.
6. Providing access to research guidelines and tools that ensure excellence.
