Lira Town College warmly invites our dear parents, guardians, and well-wishers to join us in a very special moment of prayer and blessing for our UCE and UACE candidates. This year’s Dedication Prayers will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at the College Square, beginning at 10:00am.

As a school, we recognize the importance of prayer and spiritual guidance in the journey of our learners. These dedication prayers are meant to uplift, encourage, and strengthen our candidates as they prepare to sit for their national examinations. It is our desire that each candidate approaches their exams with confidence, peace of mind, and the assurance that God is with them.

This year, the prayers will be led by the Catholic Church, and we look forward to a beautiful and unifying service that brings together students, parents, teachers, and the wider Lira Town College community. Regardless of denomination, we welcome everyone to join in as we dedicate our candidates to the Lord’s care and guidance.

Parents and guardians play a very important role in the lives of our learners, especially at this critical stage. We therefore strongly encourage all parents of UCE and UACE candidates to attend and pray alongside their children. Your presence will not only give the learners courage but also remind them that they are surrounded by love, support, and blessings from their families and community.

We also take this opportunity to kindly remind parents to ensure that all school fees balances are fully cleared ahead of this event. Having school fees settled helps the College to provide the necessary support and resources for our learners during this final stretch of their studies. It also allows our candidates to focus on preparing for their exams without any worry or distraction.

This day is not just about prayer, but also about unity and encouragement. We will stand together as one family—teachers, parents, and students—to seek God’s guidance and wisdom. We believe that with hard work, dedication, and God’s blessing, our candidates will excel and make both their families and the College proud.
